Tri-fold brochure for

Odd Squad Productions Police Judo

For the tri-fold brochure for Odd Squad Productions Police Judo, we developed two distinct designs—one for the Kids class and another for the Women's class. For the Kids class, we chose a vibrant, bright blue that aligns with the logo, creating an energetic and playful contrast with the dignified black of Police Judo. This combination strikes a balance between the fun and active nature of the class and the structured discipline that judo provides. In addition to handling the graphic design, I also took the photos featured in the brochure. Capturing the children’s energy was a challenge, as they were constantly in motion, making it difficult to get still shots. To communicate their speed and enthusiasm, we incorporated dynamic arrows and small graphic elements into the design, giving the visuals a sense of movement that mirrored the energy of the class.

For the Women's class, we used pale and deep pinks as the base colors, contrasting them with the same dignified black of Police Judo to create a softer yet empowering visual tone. Since the class is open to participants aged 13 and older, the design needed to strike a balance between strength and approachability. We avoided making the design appear too youthful or too mature, aiming instead for a welcoming, inclusive look that would appeal to women of various ages. I was also responsible for photographing the Women's class, which presented a different atmosphere from the Kids class. The women practiced at their own pace, creating a calm and supportive environment. The relaxed mood of the session was captured in photos, with many of the participants smiling and enjoying themselves. By featuring these moments prominently in large, welcoming images, we aimed to break down any mental barriers potential students might have about judo, showing that the practice is not only about strength but also about personal growth and enjoyment.

Overall, both designs were crafted with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility, using a combination of engaging visuals and thoughtful color palettes to appeal to each target audience. By highlighting the core values of fun, empowerment, and community, the brochures effectively communicate the unique benefits of Police Judo to both children and women.
